Never have I watched a series of anything that made me tune in as much as Donna Mills did with her character of Abby; she made her so delicious, strong vulnerable and quite the evil bitch in some eyes. I think what made her so true during her time was the fact she was a woman, a woman wanting to rule the world. Maybe it was the power of it all. She brought so much to Knots Landing. The elegance, the steamy scenes that was kind of rare for the 80's period.
Abby was the kind of lady you would want standing behind you in crises. She knew just how to scheme and win, pulling all the punches.
I enjoyed watching everything she did. I always knew she would come out on top. That’s what made it so powerful. They would show you her home life with her children, Olivia and Brian. The mother love shared with those two then the out of the house love for power.
What a brilliant actress… Here’s to you Donna Mills.
I love watching a someone in character who not only acts with body motions but also through facial expressions.
Sometimes without even doing anything, you could tell what Abby was up to by reading only her face and those eyes. Something that is rarely found.
